Judges for the 2013 Literary Honors are:

mehlmanPeter Mehlman – Author-Producer-Television Personality

Peter Mehlman started as a sports writer for the Washington Post, shortly moving to television to write for Howard Cosell.  In the late 1980’s, he wrote for the New York Times Magazine, GQ, Esquire, Mademoiselle and Elle.

He’s best known, however, for adding his Emmy-nominated pen to a little show called “Seinfeld” where he coined phrases like “yada yada”, “spongeworthy”, “shrinkage” and “double-dipping.”

Peter currently writes for NPR, Esquire, the New York Times, Washtington Post, LA Times and has recently written a book, Mandela Was Late.

Adrian Todd Zuniga is the founding editor of Opium Magazine, and the co-creator and host ofLiterary Death Match,[1] which is a reading series that occurs regularly in New York CitySan Francisco and London, and has launched in 39 cities worldwide including BeijingEdinburghChicago and Paris. He was named a LA Times Face to Watch in 2012.[2]

Zuniga is also a Puschart Prize-nominated writer for his short fiction and an award-winning journalist (Best Feature Writing awarded by Ziff-Davis Media). He created 1UP.com’s Sports Anomaly podcast, and now hosts 4thString.com’s “Weekly Thrillride.”
